What is your latest release and what genre is it? Lucy Tries Luge is a Children’s Picture Book for ages 3-6, illustrated by James Hearne
Quick description: Lucy Tries Luge is the first book in a “Kids Love Sports” series.
Lucy has a new luge sled but she isn’t sure about this unique sliding sport. You have to lie on your back and steer with your feet?? Lucy thinks the luge track looks pretty scary with its twists and turns. What if she loses her grip? But with the support of her parents, and a reminder that luge is similar to tobogganing, Lucy jumps on her sled and displays her adventurous side!
With the support of the Olympia Trust Company, Lisa Bowes is donating 1,500 copies of Lucy Tries Luge to every Kindergarten and Grade 1 classroom throughout the Calgary Board of Education with additional copies being sent to school libraries and learning commons.
As well, 650 copies have been donated to the Surrey (British Ccolumbia) Elementary Schools and Libraries.
