When Authors sign on with me to promote themselves and their work on my blog, they agree to this sentence in my description of the site:
In exchange for this free listing, I request all authors reciprocate by promoting Reading Recommendations, their fellow authors listed on the site, and me and my work, as much as possible.
Ten out of the 168 Authors I’ve promoted here on Reading Recommendations have more than lived up to this agreement by not only sharing and retweeting their own promotions, but by sending me new authors to promote, liking, reblogging, sharing and retweeting other Authors’ posts and promotions, commenting on my blogs, engaging with me and other RR Authors on Facebook, Twitter, etc., reading and reviewing my books, promoting and interviewing me on their blogs, reading and recommending books written by their fellow RR Authors, and just being generally all-round congenial people who understand the value of this writing community I’ve created and how important it is to support one another.
So I’d like to take the opportunity now to give these Reading Recommendations All-Stars an extra shout-out, to let my blog readers know just how valuable these Authors have become to me and to their colleagues, and to show them how much I have appreciated their support over this past year. It takes time and it takes effort, but every little helps. I’m snowed under with reviews, so I’m going to have to take a break. Well, unless there’s a new Bequia novel of course 😀
Phew! The pressure is off as roughseas is taking a break! I’m writing the next one as fast as I can, but I think it’s safe to say you may enjoy your time away from reviewing – or at least, you have time to catch up!
I’m not taking a break, I just have too many piled up. I’m going to have to go down the usual route of picking favourite genres/authors and refusing slop fiction. I’d like to publicise people but … I’d prefer to write about books I enjoy. Book review posts are never as popular either unless I can make something else out of them, yours worked out well.
I’ve got one planned for tomorrow, plus one the week after and the week after, and about five to fit in somewhere and some separate paid for reviews to do elsewhere. Aaagh! That’s why I need to back off somewhat.
Paid for reviews come first. Commitment to blog tours and regular commenters next. The rest are at the back of the queue. And anyway, I have a tax return to fill in, so that is right at the front.

I guess I have missed th boat because I would have promoted your site had I been listed.
The site’s been listed for this past year, John, and there are instructions above on how to submit your name for consideration of promotion (although I’m currently on hiatus at the moment). But you’re welcome to follow the blog and submit when I do make the announcement that I’m back on board again. It’s up to authors to contact me if they’re looking for free promotion of their books.

There are some fantastic author/bloggers on this list. I can’t believe you’ve listed me among them. Thank you, Susan, from the bottom of my heart. I’m so glad to know you and to be part of this wonderful community you’ve created. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re truly making a difference for many authors.
